What's New?

Welcome to VIPRE Antivirus Plus, our newest offering in the VIPRE for Home product line! VIPRE Antivirus Plus is the result of direct feedback from our customers, who have asked for a lighter, leaner, security-focused solution without all of the extra bells and whistles that our VIPRE Advanced Security product offers. In many cases, the trimmed-down feature set offered by VIPRE Antivirus Plus offers a simpler day-to-day experience while still keeping you safe from viruses, ransomware, and other malware.

What is VIPRE Antivirus Plus?

While VIPRE Antivirus Plus does not contain all of the features of VIPRE Advanced Security, it does contain the core security features that make VIPRE an award-winning endpoint security solution.  VIPRE Antivirus Plus is a security-first endpoint security solution that focuses on security over features to provide a lower cost, lighter footprint security experience.

Features

  • Scanning and Active Protection - The core of the solution is a comprehensive file scanning and on-access checking feature that digs deep into every file on your system to find malware anywhere it tries to hide.
  • Advanced Active Protection - VIPRE’s Advanced Active Protection goes beyond traditional on-access file scanning to protect even in-memory processes from performing malicious activity. Stop even the most advanced file-less and browser/script-based malware with this solution based on the latest machine learning technology.
  • Web Filtering - Many modern threats are delivered by malicious links that you are fooled into clicking on. VIPRE is there to catch these threats by referencing a cloud-based knowledge base of the latest and baddest malware sites and blocks your browser from doing anything that could harm your security.
  • Quarantine harmful items - Whenever VIPRE finds anything that could be a problem, it places it in a quarantine area so that you can review it if you want. If in doubt, leave it alone - but the files will still be there if you are sure they are actually safe.
  • Easily exclude non-threats and ignore specific apps - Sometimes your favorite apps do things that might harm your privacy, but you are actually OK with. No problem, you can tell VIPRE to ignore those apps if you are sure they are safe, or if they cause some kind of conflict.
  • Auto-updated definitions - Constantly updated protection against the very latest threats through frequent cloud updates to our definitions.
  • Full/Quick/Custom Scans (Scheduled and Manual) - A Full scan goes deep into every corner of your PC; Quick scan rapidly checks the most common user folders for a brief checkup; Custom Scan enables you to pick exactly what you want to scan, including external drives. VIPRE offers flexible configuration so that you stay safe without being slowed down.
