What's New

What's New
This release of Email Cloud includes new domain validation. To further the amount of protection we provide, domain ownership will now be verified via DNS lookup tools. VIPRE will provide a verification code that the domain owner or administrator will need to add to the TXT section. Email Cloud will then verify the DNS records to ensure the code we provided is in the TXT section. See the Special Instructions section below for details on how to verify your domains.
Please note, this will not yet affect any domains you have already added however, the ability to verify domain ownership for existing domains is scheduled for a future release.
We've also added the ability to include a policy rule for incoming emails that match TLS (Transport Layer Security) versions lower than 1.2 (the current version as of this writing is TLS v1.3). Refer to Related Articles for more details on policies.
Special Instructions
Click the arrow below to learn how to add your domain to Email Cloud.
Domain Verification
- Select Domains on the left-side menu
- Click the green + on the top-right
- Fill in the appropriate required fields and click Save & Continue
- Ensure DNS TXT Record is selected and add the provided TXT values to your DNS records
- Select one of the following:
- Verify Later - this option is best if the required changes cannot be made right away

Verify Now - use this option if you have already made the required changes
- Please note, in some circumstances, it may take up to 72 hours for changes to your DNS record to propagate across the Internet

To verify domains at a later time:
- From the Domain Listing screen, select the appropriate domain under the Domains Pending Verification section at the top
- Click Not Verified
- Select Verify Now

Known Issues in this Release
[AP-6019] - New customer creation is not creating the admin user when creating customer with domain
Workaround:
- After new customer creation, select Admin on the left-side menu
- Click on Admins to show the full list of all administrators
- Click the green + on the top-right
- Enter the required fields, ensuring you select the appropriate role from the drop-down menu
- Click Save
