VIPRE is pleased to announce a brand new integration between our VIPRE Email Security and ConnectWise Manage.

What's New

VIPRE already allows you to deliver VIPRE Email Security as a service to your customers by providing a multi-tenant management interface. ConnectWise Manage is a great solution for service providers that helps you manage agreements, accounts, billing, and many other client management features.

This integration is enabling the existing ConnectWise Manage customer to:

  • Easily create and update products in Manage straight from our Email Security integration
  • Map companies and agreements for easy onboarding
  • Automatically sync usage and create additions nightly to provide up-to-date automated billing
  • Monitor connection and reporting issues automatically

Installation instructions can be found in the Related Articles.

System Requirements

ConnectWise officially supports two versions back at any point in time. Our integration is designed to work with ConnectWise Manage 2019.3 and 2019.4 API. As ConnectWise releases new versions of their ConnectWise Manage cloud platform, VIPRE will support the new releases.

Known Issues and Workarounds

This section lists issues that are known at the time of release. In some cases, these are bugs that we are working to resolve with a subsequent release. Other items may be due to causes outside of our control, such as bugs with other vendors' software. In all cases, we have tried to provide a workaround for you to consider, should you experience an issue.

If you have questions about a specific issue, please provide the issue ID (if applicable) when contacting our Technical Support team.

Issue: Private Key Deletion [CW-93]

Clicking Deactivate on the ConnectWise Integration square immediately deletes your private key.  This will prevent you from being able to connect to the ConnectWise system.

Workaround: We recommend backing up your ConnectWise private key before you begin the integration.

Issue: Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer 11 Usability [AP-4809]

When accessing the Integration page while using Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer 11, the link may take you to the Customers page rather than the Integration page.

Workaround: We recommend using Google Chrome if you are experiencing this issue.
