Known Issues and Workarounds
This section lists issues that are known at the time of release. In some cases, these are bugs in which we are working to resolve with a subsequent release. Other items may be due to causes outside of our control, such as bugs with other vendors' software. In all cases, we have tried to provide a workaround for you to consider, in case you should experience the issue.
Spam filtering is unable to quarantine messages [NJA-798]
Symptom: In rare cases, installing Exchange 2016 CU12 or Exchange 2013 CU22 can cause Exchange issues that impact Email Security Server's Spam filtering.
You may observe the following
- Scored messages are delivered to the inbox instead of the Spam folder
- The error message "The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized" will display in the Email Security logs
Workaround: We are currently working to identify the cause of the issue. Until we have more information or a fix available, we recommend not updating to Exchange 2016 CU12 or Exchange 2013 CU22 at this time.
If you have already updated to either of these versions of Exchange and are experiencing this issue, please contact VIPRE Support for assistance.
