KNOWN ISSUES AND WORKAROUNDS

Issue: VIPRE fails to open, often with a message reading "VIPREUI.exe - This application could not be started".

This happens because VIPRE requires .NET 4.6 to run. On some computers, Windows must be updated before .NET 4.6 can be installed.

Action Required

In order to install .NET 4.6 on Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2, you must first run Windows Update and patch your PC.
