Features

  • All New Code - The plugin has been rewritten from the ground up to take advantage of the automation and features that ConnectWise offers. Manage any number of endpoints, from a single device up to multiple sites with thousands of devices, limited only by the number of machines ConnectWise supports
  • Supports Cloud and Server Agents Simultaneously - Controls both VIPRE Server and VIPRE Cloud in a single “pane of glass” view
  • Supports VIPRE Site Manager sites - Agents belonging to VIPRE Site Manager sites are also supported
  • Simple Installation - Install directly from ConnectWise Solutions Center in seconds with just a few clicks
  • Entirely Self-Contained - The complete plugin is housed within a single DLL file
  • Advanced Scripting -  Roll up your sleeves! We now support ConnectWise scripting for querying VIPRE data and sending VIPRE Agent commands. Anything you can do in the UI you can now do via custom scripting
  • Built-in Legacy Support - Works with VIPRE Server versions 9.6 up to the current release

Known Issues

If you have questions about a specific issue, please provide the issue ID (if applicable) when contacting our Technical Support team.

  • LABTECH-463 - When attempting to connect to an on-prem VIPRE Console using invalid credentials, you are unable to retry until the database agents have been restarted
    • Workaround: Restart the DBAgent service. Open Services.msc on the ConnectWise Automate server, then locate Labtech Database Agent and restart it.
  • LABTECH-554- The quarantine details for VIPRE Cloud and VIPRE Server agents are displayed differently
    • Workaround: None. Cloud agents currently show a condensed version of the same status, such as “SCAN” for “Custom Scan”, or “SEVERE” for “Severe Risk”.
  • LABTECH-559- When adding a new site, extra spaces in the site name are accepted, but will fail when trying to connect
    • Workaround: Check that you have no extra spaces in your site names when adding a new site.
  • LABTECH-560- Without selecting a computer, you can still select an action from the Actions drop-down
    • Workaround: Be sure to select a computer to take action on before choosing an action from the menu.
