Configure how the results of scans are cleaned (remediated) and assign actions according to threat types, such as Adware, Viruses, Worms, and so forth.
To configure remediation settings:
- In the Policy Properties, open Remediation
- Assign a Category Remediation Level for each of the threat types:
- Select a threat type in the tree
- Select one of the actions in the Category Remediation Level box. When that type of threat is detected, the assigned action will be taken
Allow: the threat is allowed to run on the machine; threats with Allow remediation assigned cannot be tracked in reports
Report Only: the threat is allowed to run and can be tracked in reports
Quarantine: the threat is placed in quarantine, which resides on the agent machine
Delete: the threat is completely removed from the agent machine and unrecoverable
- Repeat Step 2a-b for each threat type listed
- Click Apply to save changes
Note! When a scheduled task contains a malicious script, VIPRE moves the malicious script to Quarantine and the scheduled task comes back empty. VIPRE then deletes the file-container. If another user attempts to restore the script from Quarantine, only the internal script is restored without the original container.
