Updated at October 14th, 2021

In the Summer of 2021, VIPRE released a new web client. Technical details and release notes can be found here. This article walks end users through the required actions needed to complete your migration to the new webmail client as well as some troubleshooting steps.

Important terms to remember:

  • Webmail 4 is defined as users who log in to webmail4.com to read their email or users who have a local email client configured to send/receive email via inbound.electric.net and outbound.electric.net
  • Webmail 3/5 is defined as users who log in to login.fusemail.com, users who log in to the de-branded wm.mailanyone.net, or users who have a local email client configured to send/receive email from pop.fusemail.net, imap.fusemail.net, and smtp.fusemail.net

VIPRE Recommends

It's very common to set up a browser or email client with a username and password to connect on an email service, then forget the password. To help avoid disruptions, we recommend attempting to log in to our new webmail clients before the switchover (see: Timeline of Events in the Release Notes) to ensure you have the current password. If not, use the old interface while it's still available to reset your password.

Add Calendar Events

Calendar events from the old webmail client won't be migrated automatically so this will be a manual process for you. It may be easier to have two browsers open side-by-side to complete this process.

  1. In the first browser, navigate to the old webmail client
  2. Click on Calendar and use the arrows at the top to navigate through the calendar to find any events that need to be moved over to the new webmail client
  3. In the second browser, navigate to the new webmail client
  4. Click on Calendar
  5. Select New event in the top-left
  6. Enter the details of your event and click Save
  7. Repeat steps 4-6 until all desired events have been moved over to the new webmail client

Please note that configuring and troubleshooting third-party applications and devices is outside the scope of support provided by VIPRE. Some mail clients and software may have additional settings or call their settings different names. Please consult their documentation for additional details.
