PC Add-in: Resolve DL Members

ResolveDLMembers audits Exchange distribution lists to examine each address within, including embedded DLs. Flagged email addresses are then presented to the user for confirmation. This setting is useful because, by default, SafeSend does not resolve members of Exchange distribution lists.

ResolveDLMembers is disabled (set to False) by default. Users may experience a few seconds delay from Exchange when emailing DLs. The delay might be a bit longer for large DLs

To resolve any email address within a distribution list:

  1. From within Outlook, click File > Options > Add-ins > Add-in Options
  2. Select Edit settings then, under the Logic tab, click Advanced
  3.  Locate ResolveDLMembers and click on the arrow next to False to change it to True
  4. Click Close Window
