VIPRE Security Central

To access your VIPRE Android Security account, you will need to log in to the VIPRE Security Central web portal by following the steps below. 

  1. Open a web browser on your PC or mobile device
  2. Go to https://mobile.myvipre.com
  3. Sign in to your account using the email address and password you registered with


If you do not have a VIPRE Security Central account, you can create one by navigating to VIPRE Security Central Account Creation.


Install VIPRE Android Security

Install VIPRE Android Security from your VIPRE Security Central Account.

  1. Go to https://mobile.myvipre.com on your Android mobile device
  2. Sign in with your VIPRE account, or create one if you don’t already have one
  3. Tap the 3 horizontal lines in the upper-left corner of the screen, and then select My Devices
  4. Tap INSTALL PROTECTION, and then tap Protect this device or Protect other devices
  5. Select who is the owner of the device you will be installing VIPRE Android Security on
    • If you selected Protect this device, you will be redirected to the Google Play app
    • If you selected Protect other devices, continue with the instructions below
  6. Press SEND DOWNLOAD LINK
  7. Type an email address in the corresponding field, and press SEND EMAIL.
  8. On the device you want to install VIPRE Android Security, check the email account that you typed in, then select Download

Note that the generated download link is valid for the next 24 hours only. If the link expires, you will have to generate a new one by following the same steps.

 

My Devices

The My Devices section of VIPRE Security Central allows you to perform remote actions and receive information regarding your VIPRE Android Security product on a specific device.

If you select a device card from the list of devices, the following tabs are available:

  • Dashboard - In this window, you can view details about the selected device, check its protection status, and how many threats have been blocked on this device in the last seven days. The protection status can be green when there is no issue affecting your device, yellow when the device needs your attention or red when the device is at risk. When there are issues affecting your device, tap the drop-down arrow in the upper-status area to find out more details. From here you can manually fix issues that are affecting the security of your devices.
  • Protection - From this window, you can remotely run a Scan on your device. Tap SCAN to start the process. You can also check when the last scan was performed on the device and a report of the latest scan with the most important information is available.
  • Anti-Theft - In case you misplaced your device, with the Anti-Theft feature you can locate it and take remote actions. Tap LOCATE to find out the position of the device. The last known position will be displayed, along with the time and date. For more details about this feature, refer to Related Articles.

Customize a Device's Name 

  1. Access VIPRE Security Central
  2. Select My Devices
    • If you are accessing VIPRE Security Central on a mobile device you will need to tap the 3 horizontal lines in the top left corner of your screen first
  3. Select the desired device from the list, then select the 3 vertical dots in the upper-right corner of the screen
  4. Select Settings
  5. Type in a new name in the Device name field, and then select SAVE

Assigning an owner to a device 

  1. Access VIPRE Security Central
  2. Select My Devices 
    • If you are accessing VIPRE Security Central on a mobile device you will need to tap the 3 horizontal lines in the top left corner of your screen first
  3. Select the desired device from the list, then select the 3 vertical dots in the upper-right corner of the screen
  4. Select Profile
  5. Select Add owner, then fill in the corresponding fields. 
  6. Select ADD to save the profile
  7. Select the desired owner from the Device owner list, then tap ASSIGN


Anti-Theft

Accessing Anti-Theft features in your VIPRE Security Central account

All Anti-Theft features require the Background data option to be enabled in your device's data usage settings.


  1. Go to https://mobile.myvipre.com/ on your Android mobile device
  2. Tap the hamburger menu in the top left and select My Devices
  3. Select your device
  4. Select the Anti-Theft tab

Features 

In the Anti-Theft menu you will have the following options:

  • Locate - displays your device's location on Google Maps
  • Show IP - displays the last IP address for your device
  • Alert - type a message to display on your device's screen and/or make your device play a sound alarm
  • Lock - lock your device and set a PIN code for unlocking it
  • Wipe - delete all data from your device


Warning

After you wipe a device, all Anti-Theft features cease to function.

 

My Subscriptions

The VIPRE Security Central platform gives you the possibility to easily manage the subscriptions you have for all your devices. If you need to renew or modify your subscription, refer to Related Articles for more detailed information.

Check Available Subscriptions 

To check your available subscriptions:

  1. Access VIPRE Security Central
  2. Tap the hamburger menu in the upper-left corner of the screen, and then select My Subscriptions

Here you have information about the availability of the subscriptions you own and the number of devices using each of them.
