Install and configure the VIPRE Console before deploying agents to your endpoints.

Step 1. Install the Console

For VIPRE to install properly you must ensure your system meets the latest system requirements, which are documented in the release notes for the version you are installing.

  1. Download and run the VIPRE Console installer associated with the purchase key.
  2. Accept the License Terms
  3. Enter a Company Name &  Email Address
  4. Choose an Installation Location
  5. Select the Full Installation option
  6. Begin installation

No network access?

In the event the VIPRE Console is installed on a network without internet access, a Bypass Key can be created by VIPRE Support. This key is able to register the offline Console and ensure all functions requiring an active license remain in effect. If a Bypass Key has not yet been created, contact VIPRE Support and have the following information ready:

  • Valid Registration Key
  • Associated Company's Name
  • Desired Host Computer's Operating System (Including 32/64 bit)

Step 2: Configure the Console

Add the license key and review a few other configuration options.

  1. Enter the Activation Key and select Update
  2. Enter an email address to be used for administrative alerts
  3. Select Enable or Disable  for Automatic Policy Assignment
  4. Choose an option for Incompatible Software Removal
  5. Select Enable or Disable for VIPRE's Patch Management
  6. Enter Domain Administrative Credentials to use for deployment
  7. Choose Enable or Disable for Unprotected Computer Discovery
  8. Allow Definitions and Agent Software to download
  9. Select Finish and allow the Console to open
