This article demonstrates how to enable your Sendinc Email Alias.

Note

Enabling a Sendinc Email Alias must be completed before you can set up any SMTP Integrations.

Important

Sendinc Email Aliases DO NOT receive incoming mail. Although some SMTP Integrations include steps to set up incoming connections to the Sendinc IMAP server, this server is simply a ghost server to get the mail account set up in your client correctly. It does not actually receive mail.

Some clients may need to verify that you own the email address. Mail to your Sendinc Email Alias will be forwarded to your real email address, however, you should not give your Sendinc Email Alias out to the public or try to use it for daily purposes. If we detect that you are abusing it, you may be restricted from using this part of the service.

If your alias has been compromised and/or is receiving regular mail, you can reset it to get a new one.

Step 1:

Log in to your account at Sendinc.com.

Step 2:

Click "Mail Preferences" in the left sidebar.

Step 3:

At the bottom of the "Advanced Settings" section there is an Email Alias field. Click the "Enable" button. You can also "Reset" or "Disable" your Sendinc Email Alias from here.

Important

Resetting or disabling your Sendinc Email Alias will cause any SMTP Integrations you have set up to stop functioning until you update the mail client's settings with your new Sendinc Email Alias.

Step 4:

Use the generated Sendinc Email Alias to set up one or more of our SMTP Integrations:

If you get the following error

You must send through secure25.net SMTP servers when you send as xxxx.xxxx@secure25.net. However, this functionality is not available for your account. Please contact your domain administrator for more information.

Solution

It looks like you have Google Workspace-GSuite for this domain. The error you are getting is because at the Google Admin level your organization doesn't have Allow per-user outbound.

This is a feature that is currently disabled. Please follow the instructions on the link below and let us know if you're still having issues:

Step 8:

  • Click "Add Account".

Step 9:

Google will send a verification code to your Sendinc Email Alias address. We will receive and forward this email to the email address you set up your account with. Once received, enter the code into the field provided by Gmail and click "Verify".

Step 10:

Now log out and back into your Gmail account. This insures the setup is complete.

Step 11:

When composing a new message, set the Sendinc Email Alias account you just created as the From address before sending.

All Done!

Send a test email to yourself to make sure everything works!
