Prior to making any changes, back up the current database. Refer to Related Articles for details.
Moving to an External SQL Database from an Internal Database:
- Select Site Properties in the VIPRE Console
- Go to Advanced Settings and select "Configure"
- Select the "Use a Microsoft SQL Database..." Option
- Provide the SQL server name, database name, Authentication type, and proper credentials
- Click Test (If the database doesn't exist, you will be prompted to create it)
- Select OK to start the "Migration Wizard"
- After the Migration completes (If Applicable), select OK to return to the Site Manager
Moving to an Internal Database from an External SQL Database:
- Select Site Properties in the VIPRE Business Console
- Go to Advanced Settings and select "Configure"
- Select the "Use built-in database" Option
- Select OK to start the Migration Wizard
- After the Migration completes, select "OK" to return to the Site Manager
