Managing Gateway Exceptions (Advanced)

Gateway exceptions are created to enter MAC addresses that you want to be ignored by the Firewall. You can add, edit, or delete a gateway exception, which consists of a MAC address that is ignored.

To add, edit, or delete a gateway exception:

  1. Navigate to the Gateway tab under Manage Rules (Manage>Firewall>Firewall Protection).
  2. To add a gateway exception, click Add. The Add a Gateway displays.

    To edit an existing gateway exception, select a gateway exception in the table and click Edit. The Edit a Gateway displays.
    -or-
    To delete an existing gateway exception, select a gateway exception in the table and click Delete. Skip to Step 6.
  3. Enter a Name for the gateway exception.
  4. Enter a Description of the gateway exception.
  5. Enter a MAC Address.
  6. Click OK to save changes, which appear on the table on the Gateways tab.
