Blocking potentially malicious processes

VIPRE can actively monitor processes (programs running in the background) to check for potentially malicious behavior. If a malicious process is found, VIPRE stops the process, blocks it from starting again, and cleans up any malicious files the process may have created.

To block potentially malicious processes:

  1. Click MyVIPRE, then Antivirus.
  2. Switch on Advanced Active Protection. If you switch it off, malicious files will not be stopped in real-time.
  3. Check Block potentially malicious processes if you want VIPRE to watch for malware threats.
