Once a scan completes, displays the Scan Results. If Handle Threats Automatically is off, you need to assign actions to perform. The Recommended Action will be selected.
Set an action and clean the found risks:
- Under Action, choose how you want to deal with each risk.
- Recommended Action: Determines the clean action for the selected risk based on the latest that are installed on your computer.
- Disinfect/: Sets the Action for the selected risk to . will first attempt to clean the infection in the file. If the file cannot be disinfected, will place the infected file into . It will stay in quarantine for a default of 15 days. On the 16th day, it will be automatically deleted. You can change the amount of time it stays in from the drop-down in the section. The gives you the opportunity to further evaluate this file before removing it from your computer permanently.
- Disinfect/Delete: Sets the Action for the selected risk to Delete. will first attempt to clean the infection in the file. If the file cannot be cleaned, then the selected risk will be completely deleted from your computer. This is generally not the recommended action. It is better to a risk first, giving you the opportunity to later restore it to your computer if it turns out to not be a risk to you.
- Allow: Sets the Action for the selected risk to Allow. This setting allows the selected risk to remain on your system. It will only be allowed just this one time. It may be detected again in future scans. If you believe this file to be acceptable to run on your computer, select Always Allow.
- Always Allow: Sets the Action for the selected risk to Always Allow. This setting allows the selected risk to always remain on your system and will ignore it in future scans.
- Click Perform Actions. You will see the clean progress on followed by the screen.
