You can edit existing interactions with message protocols. These rules tell the firewall what action to take for activity that matches the rule. Communication rules filter packets of information that are transmitted in and out of your computer.
To edit a network exception:
- Navigate to the Communication tab under Manage Rules (Manage>Firewall>Firewall Protection).
- Select an action (Allow, Allow with Notify, Block, Block with Notify, or Prompt) for the following:
- Trusted Inbound Action: Applies only to an inbound connection for your trusted network(s).
- Trusted Outbound Action: Applies only to an outbound connection for your trusted network(s).
- Public Inbound Action: Applies only to an inbound connection for any network that is not trusted.
- Public Outbound Action: Applies only to an outbound connection for any network that is not trusted.
- Close to accept changes.
