To run a default scan:

1. Click MyVIPRE.
2. Hover over Scan.
3. Select Quick Scan, Full Scan, or Custom Scan...
4. During the scan, the progress of the scan displays.
5. (If applicable) Once the scan completes, click Perform Actions.

You can scan one file or folder from Windows Explorer with the right-click menu.

To scan within Explorer using the right-click menu:

1. Navigate to the file or folder you wish to scan in Windows Explorer.
2. Right-click the item and select Scan with VIPRE …
3. During the scan, the progress of the scan is displayed.
   

   Note: When scanning a small amount of files, the scan may finish very quickly. In this case, the progress of the scan may not be shown. You can always check Manage>Antivirus History for a log of all scan activity.

    
   
4. (If applicable) Once the scan completes, click Perform Actions.
