Most newer malware is delivered using malicious code in compromised web pages. VIPRE's Web Filtering will detect and block web pages that contain exploit code.
If VIPRE detects a website with potentially hazardous code, a "POTENTIAL THREAT BLOCKED" warning will display in your web browser, along with instructions on how to proceed.
If you know and trust the website in question, you can unblock it by Unblocking a Website.
- Switch on to prevent your computer from accidentally becoming infected by drive-by downloads and other exploits, ensuring the web pages you visit are safe before clicking a link, and not after the fact. This is selected/enabled by default.
- Click Manage Allowed Websites for where you can unblock a website, if necessary. Use with caution.
