VIPRE Integrated Email Security (IES) Allow Lists enable administrators to create precise rules that exempt specific senders or domains from IES threat analysis and blocking actions. Your Allow List is a table comprised of all Allow Rules you have created within VIPRE IES that includes details such as the sender, the recipient, what is being ignored/allowed through, and when the rule was last updated.

Anatomy of an Allow Rule

You can allow: Sending to: Ignoring alerts from:
  • A specific sender based on email address
  • A specific domain
  • Any sender from any domain
  • A specific recipient based on email address
  • A specific domain
  • Any recipient on any domain
  • All engines
  • Specific engines

Configuring an Allow Rule

To configure an Allow Rule to populate your Allow List within VIPRE IES:

  1. Select Settings > Allow List
  2. Click New Rule in the top right corner; an Add Allow Rule window will appear
  3. Under ALLOW select Recipient, Domain, or Any Sender
  4. Under TO select Recipient, Domain, or Any Recipient
  5. Under IGNORE select Ignore All Alerts (on all engines) or Ignore Specific Engines
    • If selecting Ignore Specific Engines, add a checkmark next to each engine for which you want to ignore alerts
  6. Under REASON, you can include a brief note explaining why you've added this exception
  7. Click Save

This Allow Rule has now been added to your VIPRE IES Allow List.
