VIPRE Integrated Email Security integrates with your secure email gateway (SEG) to provide total protection by catching anything that might get through. The first step is to configure an email source within VIPRE Integrated Email Security.
Configure an Email Source
Follow these steps from within the VIPRE IES web console:
- Navigate to Settings > Email Configuration
- On the Email Configuration screen, select Add IMAP, Add M365, or Add Google Workspace at the top
Important
While VIPRE IES does work with IMAP sources, IMAP configuration is intended for testing purposes only and is not recommended for use in VIPRE IES otherwise.
Add M365
Before getting started, you will need the administrator login credentials for your organization's Microsoft 365 tenant account.
- Name your Microsoft 365 source
- Select your Integration Mode
- Inline: All mail will be delivered to VIPRE IES via mail flow rules
- Monitoring: All mail will be delivered to VIPRE IES via journaling rules
- Click Continue

You will then be prompted to sign in to your Microsoft 365 tenant account. You will be presented with a list of APIs that VIPRE is requesting permissions to.
Add Google Workspace
Before getting started, you will need the administrator login credentials for your organization's Google Workspace account.
- Name your Google Workspace source
- Select your Integration Mode
- Inline: All mail will be delivered to VIPRE IES for scanning prior to arriving in user’s inbox
- Monitoring: A copy of the mail will be delivered to VIPRE IES for scanning
- Add your domain(s)
- Click Save

You'll then be prompted to log in to your Google Workspace administrator account and allow VIPRE IES to access your Google account. From there, you can find next steps within VIPRE IES by going back to your email source, clicking on the 3-dot menu, and seleting Configuration details.
VIPRE IES will then walk you step by step through:
- Establishing connection to email analyzer
