New Feature: Dynamic Visual Banners
We’ve added a new Add Banner action to IES Action Rules, allowing you to insert color-coded alerts directly into emails using three distinct visual styles:
- Info (Grey)
- Warn (Yellow)
- Severe (Red)
How to Enable Banners
To help you get started using Banners, we’ve included a new pre-built action rule called Adding Banner to Highly Suspicious Emails. This existing rule automatically identifies highly suspicious emails and applies a Warning (Yellow) banner. Beyond the warning, the banner allows recipients to view specific threat details and report the email as safe if it is a false positive. The pre-built rule is available for Inline Mode and is disabled by default.
To enable the pre-configured banner as-is:
- Navigate to Settings > Action Rules within the VIPRE IES web console
- Click the toggle next to Enabled for the Adding Banner to Highly Suspicious Emails action rule
To make changes to this action rule:
- Click on Edit next to the Adding Banner to Highly Suspicious Emails action rule
- Under Actions, click Edit
- Next to the Action and Banner settings, click the pencil icon
From here, you can customize the banner by changing the color and selecting the actions end users can take.
