Product release information for VIPRE Android Security v11.0.1.4 released September 23, 2020.
What's New
VIPRE Android Security no longer supports devices running Android version 4.4 (KitKat) or older due to a lack of industry support for TLS 1.1 and below. We always recommend having the most recent operating system version that's supported on your device to ensure you have the latest security updates.
There are plenty of mobile browsers out there and we've added support for one more. VIPRE Android Security now supports the Brave mobile browser. You can also see a running tally of how many times your apps have been scanned since you've installed VIPRE Android Security.
Click here to enable Show Scan Counter
- Select the More icon in the bottom right corner of the screen
- Tap Settings
- Locate Show scan counter and tap to slide and turn the feature on
Finally, with this latest version of Android Security, we've added some color to help you make sense of your account privacy statuses. When you see a blue eye it means the app is currently checking your accounts for any privacy breaches; a green eye means your accounts were not found in any known data breaches; a red eye means we've found that some of your sensitive data has been exposed in a known data breach. Refer to Related Articles for details on how to handle account breaches.
