Updated at July 26th, 2023

This is an end-of-support (EOS) notice for hosted webmail legacy domains.

Starting on August 1, 2023, our hosted webmail solution will no longer support email addresses on the domains listed below (also called EOS domains). Continue reading to understand the impact and actions you must take prior to this end-of-support date.

Actions you must take before August 1, 2023

The following steps will help you update your customers that are using one of the soon-to-be-retired domains listed below and should be completed ASAP before the end-of-support date provided above.

Step 1. Add domains. Add your customers' domains to their sub-accounts; if they don’t already have their own domain, they will need to purchase one

Step 2. Update MX records. Once you have added the new domain, the MX records will need to be updated to point to us; use Record Type: MX, Hostname: '@' then the MX records found below

North America MX Records & Priority Europe MX Records & Priority
  • ca.mx1.mailanyone.net 10
  • ca.mx2.mx25.net 20
  • ca.mx3.mailanyone.net 30
  • ca.mx4.mx25.net 40
  • eu.mx1.mailanyone.net 10
  • eu.mx2.mx25.net 20
  • eu.mx3.mailanyone.net 30
  • eu.mx4.mx25.net 40

Step 3. Add Aliases. Add a new alias to your users that do not already have one

Step 4. Update Forwarders. Change any forwarders that are using any of the EOS domains to a different email address

Step 5. Update Identities. Remove any identities using the domains listed below and add new identities for those same users; make sure autoresponders, vacation messages, and signatures are updated

Step 6. Update lists. Update any mail lists using the EOS domains to specify the new domain

Step 7. Update mail rules. Update all mail rules using any of the EOS domains as needed

Step 8. Update account contacts. Update your billing, administrative, and technical contacts to valid email addresses by emailing us at billing@vipre.com

  • This is important so that you continue to receive invoices and important operational emails

Step 9. Send username mappings. Email us at productsupport@vipre.com (Subject: Email Domain EOS) with a .CSV file listing all username changes in the following format:

Old Username New Username
user1@fusemail.com user1@newdomain.com
username2@fusemail.com user2@newdomain.com

Delete

It is strongly recommended that you notify your users of these username changes ahead of time so they will know what to do when they can no longer access their email on the domains listed below.

What does webmail discontinuation mean for my customers?

To avoid an interruption of service, you’ll need to update your sub-accounts to use their own domains. Please note if your customers don’t already have their own domain, they will need to purchase one. With the use of their own domain, their usernames will change as well, so it is strongly recommended that you notify your users of these username changes ahead of time so they will know what to do when they can no longer access their email on the domains listed below. We strongly recommend making your customers aware that if they use a third-party mail client, they will need to back up all of their emails and calendar events. Also, be sure to follow the steps below under What should I do next?.

What happens if I take no action?

If no action is taken, your sub-accounts using any of the domains listed below will lose access to both their email addresses and any emails stored in the webmail inbox. As of the end-of-support date, the email address and emails within will no longer exist.
