Product release information for VIPRE Endpoint Security Cloud Console v2.0.0 and VIPRE Agent for Windows v12.3, released on February 09, 2022.
Important
02/17/2022: Vulnerability and Patch Management is now available globally!
What's New
The latest release of VIPRE Endpoint Security Cloud sees the introduction of Vulnerability and Patch Management. Often a pain point and a source of risk for our customers, unpatched third-party applications can expose an attack surface that can be targeted to gain entry into customers' sensitive internal systems and networks. The new Vulnerability and Patch Management feature helps close that gap by making it easy to identify hundreds of third-party apps in your environment, understand what vulnerabilities are present in those apps, and allow you to easily patch those apps manually or automatically.
Vulnerabilities
With Vulnerability Management, you can:
- Discover security vulnerabilities in applications you use every day
- Take action to fix the identified security vulnerabilities in just a few clicks
- Prioritize remediation based on the level of risk as determined by risk or number of affected devices
Visit Software Vulnerabilities for specific details on using Vulnerability Management. See video tour below under Special Instructions.
Patch Management
With Patch Management, you can:
- Identify and update outdated applications
- Access interactive reporting on applications and what needs to be updated vs what's already been updated
- Schedule scans and automatic updates, based on policy, to automatically update applications
Visit Application Updates for specific details on using Patch Management. See video tour below under Special Instructions.
