Adjust when Quarantine items are deleted

If you don’t choose an action for items in quarantine, they will eventually be deleted. In VIPRE's Preferences, you can decide how long Quarantine items remain before they're deleted.

Why are Quarantine items automatically deleted?

VIPRE's Quarantine acts as a catch-all for threats that are not handled otherwise. In order to keep you safe, quarantined items  — items that VIPRE has determined are likely threats — are routinely purged. If you take no action on items in Quarantine, they will be deleted based on your settings.

You should review items in Quarantine on a regular basis to handle nonthreats (restore them or add them to the ignore list), or purge threats immediately, as you see fit.

To adjust when Quarantine items are deleted

  1. Navigate to Preferences > General > Quarantine
  2. Next to Delete items after, choose a number of weeks. VIPRE will automatically delete items that have been in quarantine for this amount of time.
