When an encrypted device is inserted into a machine, you may be prompted to enter a password in order to unlock and access the device.
To unlock an encrypted device:
- Insert the device.
- A dialog box appears, prompting you to enter a password.
- Enter the password for the device; then, click OK.
or
- Insert the device.
- In Windows Explorer, right-click on the device; then, select Unlock Medium.
- Enter the password for the device; then, click OK.
