Unlocking an Encrypted Device

When an encrypted device is inserted into a machine, you may be prompted to enter a password in order to unlock and access the device.

To unlock an encrypted device:

  1. Insert the device.
  2. A dialog box appears, prompting you to enter a password.
  3. Enter the password for the device; then, click OK.

or

  1. Insert the device.
  2. In Windows Explorer, right-click on the device; then, select Unlock Medium.
  3. Enter the password for the device; then, click OK.
