Product release information for VIPRE Agent for Windows v13.0.8369, released on April 19, 2023.
What's New
This private build provides a workaround for the issue described below. If you experience the issue described below, please contact VIPRE Technical Support to receive this private build.
Within Endpoint Detection and Response, one of the new EDR engines, which is enabled when the Extended Investigations feature is enabled, provides for more stringent and automatic blocking of websites that present certificates with certain issues, such as invalid dates or lack of a root certificate authority (i.e., “self-signed” certificates). This new engine does not currently support a method to bypass its protection without manually adding affected websites to the Exclusions. Certain customers have a large number of internal sites using self-signed certificates, and this manual process can become cumbersome. As a result, we are making this private build available which disables this site-blocking feature until such time as we can deliver a more automated bypass feature.
