Service Differences
Storage and transfer limits will vary depending on the type of account - Sendinc Basic or Sendinc Pro/Corporate
A comparison of the service differences as they relate to storage and transfer of messages follows:
Limit | Basic | Pro/Corporate User | Explanation |
Maximum message size | 10MB | 100MB | The maximum message size including all attachments. The message body is limited to a maximum of 100KB on both. |
Message Storage | 100MB | 10GB | The total combined size of all encrypted messages stored on our servers - actual uncompressed size. |
Message retention (self-destruction) | 7 Days | Unlimited | The length of time that messages are retained. After the message has expired it cannot be retrieved under any conditions and must be re-sent by the sender if another copy is needed. *Sendinc Basic* accounts have a fixed retention period of seven days that cannot be altered. Also, once a message is sent it's retention period cannot be changed - even on *Sendinc Pro* accounts. |
Recipients per day | 20 | 200 | The maximum number of recipients to which messages can be sent during a 24-hour rolling window. This is not equivalent to the number of messages sent per day as a single sent message can have more than one recipient. |
Recipients per message | 20 | 100 | The maximum number of recipients to whom a single message can be addressed. |
Requests per message | 100 or 100MB/Day | 2500 or 2.5GB/Day |
The total number of accesses (requests) or cumulative bandwidth usage per day for all recipients who read the message. This limitation is in place since each read of a message uses resources and requires its own decryption process. Note: Reading a message body generates a single request. Downloading or opening attachments generates separate requests - one for each attachment." |
Overcoming Limitations
If you or one of your intended recipients receives a "storage limit has been exceeded" alert there are several possible course of actions.
- Upgrade to a Sendinc Pro/Corporate account with higher thresholds.
- Wait until the limitation is no longer effect.
- Manually delete or expire messages to free account resources (Sendinc Pro only).
Note
It is not possible for senders to change the self-destruct time-frame after a message has been sent. The only course of action is to either let a message expire on its own or delete it in advance (Sendinc Pro/Corporate only).
