VIPRE SafeSend is a Microsoft® Outlook® Add-In, which will alert you when you're sending an email to an external recipient. SafeSend automatically scans your outbound emails. At the Send prompt, the SafeSend pop-up window will present you with two options: Confirm all external recipients of the email and Review any attachments within the email.
PC Add-in versus Web Add-in

PC Add-in
The COM (Component Object Model) add-in version of SafeSend, which we commonly refer to as the SafeSend PC Add-in, only works in Windows. Refer to Related Articles to view the system requirements and a list of features from the previous release of the SafeSend PC Add-in.
Web Add-in
The Web add-in version of SafeSend expands support to non-Windows Operating Systems by working with both Microsoft Exchange Server and OWA (Outlook Web Access). See our latest Release Notes for a full list of system requirements and browsers we've tested with.
