Fixed in this Release
This update has resolved several issues with the agent. System crashes have been addressed, including "Page Fault in Nonpaged area" errors, recurring crashes on Windows Server 2019 VMs, and Windows 10 VM crashes linked to SBAMSvc.exe. Installation and communication issues are now resolved, such as agent installation failures, loss of communication with VIPRE Endpoint Cloud, and disconnections after failed definition updates. Persistent notifications have been eliminated, including continuous popups during URL Filtering extension installation and frequent reboot prompts. Additionally, functionality improvements have fixed permissions errors when mounting ISO files and restored normal bandwidth performance on VMware guest endpoints with Web/DNS Protection enabled.
Known Issues and Workarounds
This section highlights issues identified at the time of release. Some are bugs that we are actively addressing in future updates, while others may be related to third-party software. We've provided workarounds to help you manage these situations effectively wherever possible.
Current known issues include:
- Device Control Limitation: Blocking Mobile Device Storage does not prevent iTunes Sync as expected
- Laptop Crashes: Devices using docking stations with Realtek NICs may experience crashes; updating the laptop’s Realtek drivers is recommended as a resolution
